The Northside (Tibet) and Southside (Nepal) of Everest have diverse climate, scenery, and routes. From Nepal, the trekkers take a flight to Lukla and tread through the Tenzing-Hillary route for 12-15 days to reach Everest Base Camp. The trek offers the gleaming view of coruscating mountains, icefall, crevasse, glacier and cerulean landscape. You can also enjoy the rural lifestyle and traditional culture. The south side has a helicopter facility to evacuate the trekkers or mountain climbers in-case of any emergency, trouble or hazard in the Everest region.

Whereas, the Northside of Everest has road facility up to Chinese Everest Base Camp which has made the trip easier and cozy; however, it doesn’t provide an opportunity to enjoy the routes, magnificent view of spectacular mountains and panoramic landscape.

Being an autonomous region of China, the government of China doesn’t allow the land helicopter on the north side which makes the evacuation difficult during emergencies. The north side is also more dangerous as there are rigors of high altitude and speed wind. It also takes a long process to receive the Everest permit from Tibet.
