China closed its Everest base camp to tourists:
With reference to the news published on 15th February 2019 on BBC News,Chinese Government has made an official announcement that China closed its Everest Base Camp to tourists from Tibet side on December 2018. The number of annual tourist in the region has been limited to 300 from January. Only climbers with permit can trek to Chinese Everest Base Camp(5200m). Other tourists are allowed only up to Rongbuk Monastery at 5000m altitude. The decision was made in order to maintain the ecological conservation in Himalaya.
